OutdooR Therapy In EVergreen, CO
What is Outdoor Therapy?
After years of stress, hard experiences, or staying on high alert, does your body ever really switch off? Maybe sitting in an office and talking face to face feels uncomfortable or too intense, or you've been in survival mode for so long that you can't remember what calm feels like. If you feel most like yourself outdoors, ecotherapy may be a natural fit.
We'll take your sessions outside, walking a mountain trail or sitting by the water. Fresh air, open space, and the quiet rhythm of nature help your body come down from high alert. Talking side by side, with nowhere you have to be, often makes it easier to open up. It's a steady, grounded way to decompress and feel like yourself again.
How ecotherapy can help:
Help your body shift out of high alert and into rest
Ease stress and anxiety without sitting still in an office
Lift your mood when you feel heavy or numb
Clear your head so you can think and focus
Reconnect with yourself beyond the job
Stay steadier when stress hits, on shift or at home
Find peace and balance after hard calls
Keep you moving while you heal, so therapy feels active, not clinical
HEALING ON YOUR TERMS
Healing doesn't have to happen in an office. It can happen on a trail, under the trees, or anywhere you feel safe and heard. You're the expert on your story, and I'll walk alongside you as you find clarity and move toward lasting healing.
What to Expect when working with an eco-therapist-
Outdoor therapy, also called ecotherapy, takes your sessions out of the office and into nature. Fresh air, open space, and the steady rhythm of the natural world can help you feel calmer, more grounded, and more open to healing. Here's how it works.
1. A free consultation
We'll start with a brief call to talk about your goals, answer your questions, and see whether outdoor therapy is a good fit. We'll also talk about your comfort level, mobility, and any physical needs.
2. Choosing your setting
Together, we'll pick a quiet, comfortable outdoor space near Evergreen. Sessions might involve a gentle walk, sitting by the water, or simply resting on a hillside. You never need to be "outdoorsy" or physically fit to take part.
3. Grounding in nature
We'll use the natural setting to help calm your nervous system through mindful breathing, noticing your surroundings, and reconnecting with your body. Many clients find it easier to open up side by side, outdoors, than face to face in an office.
4. Working through what matters
Outdoor sessions include the same trauma-informed care you'd get indoors, with support for trauma, anxiety, and life transitions. When it fits, we may also include animal-assisted therapy.
5. Carrying it with you
We'll build simple nature-based practices you can use between sessions, so the calm you find outdoors becomes part of your everyday life.
