ANIMAL ASSISTED THERAPY
Animal-Assisted Therapy uses the healing presence of animals to support your mental and emotional well-being. Interacting with therapy animals can help reduce stress, increase feelings of comfort and safety, and improve mood. What is Animal Assisted Therapy?
OUR APPROACH
I believe healing doesn’t just have to happen in an office setting—it can happen on a trail, under the trees, or simply in a space where you feel seen and heard. OUR practice is grounded in the belief that you are the expert of your own story. With a human-centered, nature-inspired approach, I’ll walk alongside you as you reconnect with yourself, find clarity, and move toward lasting healing.
What you can expect
In animal-assisted therapy, you'll engage in guided interactions with trained therapy animals—such as my golden retriever, Summit—alongside your therapy work with me as your therapist. These sessions provide a safe and calming environment, where the presence of the animal helps you feel more relaxed and open.
You can expect moments of connection, comfort, and emotional support as you work on your goals. The animals can help reduce anxiety, build trust, and encourage you to express feelings in a gentle, nonverbal way. Each session is tailored to your needs and designed to complement your overall healing process.
